Our first time visiting was 11/7/23. I'm just now getting around to this review. Ohhh man. I still remember how stuffed I was after this visit. I had so much leftovers. We went early on a Tuesday because we had heard it gets busy. It's a cool space with a designated area for all their specialty market products as well. Good amount of tables to sit and eat. Definitely a chill spot.

I like empanadas, and services are quick but unorganized. Ambiance was to go... Not what it was, but nothing is. Milanesa used to be grilled. Now it's fried, just different.

Tito's Market offers some of the best sandwiches in LA, blending Argentine, Mexican, and Italian flavors into hearty delights. Despite its somewhat grungy atmosphere that could use a bit of sprucing up--think trash and rags on the floor and old signage with masking tape covering areas--the food speaks for itself. Their sandwiches are a steal at $8 for a small and $12 for a large, packed with ingredients that reflect their diverse culinary influences. The soda fountain with crushed ice is a personal favorite, featuring a variety of sodas. The refrigerator has some including Latino favorites like Materva and Inca Cola, alongside tropical juices. The milanesa pollo was pounded thin, breaded and flavorful -- and not overcooked or dry. Perfect. I asked the lady to do whatever she wanted to the sandwich. She added chile which added a spicy kick to my sandwich. Service at the counter is friendly without any pressure to tip, though there's a jar if you're inclined to show appreciation. Despite appearances, Tito's Market maintains an "A" rating from the health department, ensuring cleanliness where it matters most. Located in El Monte, it's a gem worth visiting in the San Gabriel Valley, especially if you appreciate authentic mom-and-pop shops that deliver on taste despite their rough-around-the-edges charm.

I've been to Tito's several times, but this is my first review. My husband and I ordered a large hot pastrami sandwich, a small sub sandwich, and a cheese empanada. Make sure to get the chile on the side! It's absolutely delicious. The pastrami was really good with lots of pastrami and pickles. My husband said the sub sandwich was good. The cheese empanada was fantastic! I added chile to every bite, which made it even better. My husband used to work in the area decades ago, and he used to go to Tito's frequently. Back then, the prices were very reasonable. Prices have gone up considerably since my last visit. The yelp APP shows "1 free Empanada" if you check in. However, they do NOT honor this offer. This was the second time I've asked, and they said no both times. They should remove this offer from yelp! I'm not sure when I'll visit again, as it was pretty expensive this time around.
